We need to ensure our roadways are being monitored more effectively. With the number of accidents on a weekly basis, measures need to be put in place to reduce the potential accidents. Measures such as having more Police presence to pull over vehicles speeding along our major roadways. Highway 17 has become a Raceway and that coupled with folks being on their cell phones are causing too many preventable accidents. Years ago, there used to be a campaign of “Click it or Ticket”, the Town should start a campaign enforcing a “Hands Free or Pay the Fee”.
