ABOUT MIKE

Mike was born in Maryland and raised in the Canfield, Ohio area. While in High School he began what has become a career in the Restaurant Industry for over the past forty years. He became a Father at an early age which prevented him from immediately attending College. After being out of school for eighteen years, he decided to attend Youngstown State University earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration.

Mike has run every type of restaurant from the Mom & Pop locations to National Chains in locations from Ohio, Pennsylvania, Georgia, and South Carolina. During his career he's been a General Manager as well a Director of Operations. Mike has successfully Opened over Fourteen Restaurants from Groundbreaking to Grand Opening. He has successfully transformed multiple underperforming locations into Profitable Operations.

Mike has been married to his wife, Sheri, for over the past 20 years. They have a blended family of seven kids and nine grandchildren. They live in Water's Edge of Mount Pleasant with their two youngest sons. They fell in love with the Charleston Area during a summer vacation and immediately made plans to move to the area in June of 2009.

Mike has been involved with the community in various roles over the years. Whether it was being a Den Leader while his boys were in Scouts, assisting their football teams over the years, or currently being a Board Member of his HOA for over the past twelve years. Mike is willing to step in and help out where needed to support the community.

He believes that "All Neighborhoods Matter".

In his spare time, Mike enjoys fishing at the Mount Pleasant Pier or working on his Classic Car, as well taking in a RiverDogs baseball game or Stingrays hockey game.

Mike's strong record of community service, exceptional experience as a restaurant leader, and father make him uniquely qualified to be entrusted as a Town Councilman for Mount Pleasant.
